I have been an attorney with Turnipseed & Associates since I was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1995. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked as a law clerk and as a runner for Turnipseed & Associates. I handle social security disability claims and work on the Turnipseed & Associates litigation team, concentrating in the areas of products liability and tractor-trailer collisions.
I graduated from Irmo High School, in Columbia, South Carolina in 1987. I received my B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and my Juris Doctor Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995, where I was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe.
I lead Turnipseed & Associates' appellate team and I have argued successfully before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Supreme Court.

I am a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice and the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AEIG). AEIG members share information and bring product liability, or "crash-worthiness," cases against automobile manufacturers and their suppliers. My wife, Cynthia Smith Turnipseed, is also an attorney here in Columbia. I have a daughter, Madeline who is 10 and a son Sam who is 7. When I am not practicing law, I like to spend time with my family, play soccer, and coach soccer.
